Job description

Overview:
This Field Sales Role supports Account Managers across the UK with technical and application support, instrument demonstrations for the qPCR & ddPCR range of products, and sales activities throughout the selling process.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the UK team of 8 account managers to identify potential leads for rtPCR and ddPCR instruments and reagents, develop these leads through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations, and present strong Bio-Rad solutions to customers. They will also contribute to tender documents as needed. Post-sales, the role involves providing training, application support, results interpretation, troubleshooting, and attending exhibitions and seminars, as well as supporting local events organized by account managers.

Your contributions will aid sales targets, enhance market knowledge, and support customers' research efforts, aligning with Bio-Rad's mission to "Advance science and save lives."

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Account Managers to identify, develop, and successfully close sales across the region.
  2. Provide post-sales support and training to maximize revenue and develop sales opportunities, including competitor instrumentation.
  3. Attend and contribute to exhibitions and seminars locally and nationally.
  4. Gather and share information on new products and applications to support sales development.
  5. Provide feedback on market insights to the team and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Strong team ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility, collaborative approach, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong scientific knowledge in Life Sciences, especially Molecular Biology (qPCR/ddPCR).
  • Good coaching, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel within South UK, and potentially across UK and Europe.
  • Sales and presentation skills, determination, and ability to manage multiple projects.
