Job summary

Exchange People is seeking an Access Control & Data Installation Engineer in London to join its installations team. You will install, configure and maintain door access control systems and data services at retail and commercial sites, with UK-wide travel.

This permanent role includes on-site work, supporting customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Training and detailed record-keeping are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining door access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems (key card, biometric, intercom).
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Verkada security systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems, including hardware and software.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to access control systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in installations and maintenance.
• Provide training and support to clients on access control systems.
• Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
