Job summary

CRGH is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical duties for patients undergoing fertility treatments. You will assist with phlebotomy, data entry, and patient care, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment and compassionate communication.

You will work across a 5-day week in a full-time role, with duties ranging from clinical tasks to administrative support, across the IDEAS portal and basic IT systems, while maintaining high standards of dignity and care for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
• Experience in fertility care or women’s health.
• Good IT skills, with familiarity in patient portals or electronic health records.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and label samples accurately.
• Act as chaperone during procedures and support patients.
• Assist clinicians during Embryo Transfer procedures and abdominal scans.
• Maintain clean and organized clinical areas between patients.
• Ensure safe disposal of sharps and waste per protocols.
• Provide empathy, assist with consent forms and IDEAS portal updates.
• Coordinate with pharmacy suppliers and ensure timely prescriptions.
• Hand over information clearly to the next shift.
