Job summary

Red Funnel Limited is seeking a Deck Hand for 19.5 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday on the Red Kestrel. Role includes loading/discharging vehicle decks, vessel maintenance and safe operation, with a focus on customer service. Living within commuting distance to Southampton terminals is required as accommodation onboard is not provided.

Qualifications

• ENG1 medical certificate.
• Basis Sea Survival STCWs & Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting STCW.
• Previous experience as deck crew in a seafaring role holding an EDH or AB certificate is essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and discharge of the vehicle decks of the vessel and maintain the decks.
• Operate vessels safely and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service in all areas as required by the Master.
• Assist in loading/car parking operations ashore when directed.
