Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group is seeking a Female Support Worker to join the waking night team in Sevenoaks. You will support adults with disabilities in a residential setting, ensuring safety, dignity and personalised care during night shifts.

Located near Sevenoaks railway station, the role offers full-time hours (39 per week) with a focus on person-centred care and enabling independence. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for travel between shifts.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; compassionate and reliable candidates encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to learn and complete training provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing reassurance and support throughout the night.
• Completing regular wellbeing and safety checks as per individual plans.
• Assisting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner when needed.
• Responding calmly to overnight needs or emergencies.
• Completing accurate records and handovers for continuity of care.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

£25,845 per annum (pro rata) | Full-time – 39 hours per week
Waking Night Shifts: 10:00pm – 7:00am

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role to travel to and from shifts.

About the Role

We're looking for caring and committed Female Support Workers to join our waking night team in Sevenoaks, supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, epilepsy, communication needs and those receiving end-of-life care within a residential service.

Located just a five-minute walk from Sevenoaks railway station, the service provides person-centred support in a safe and welcoming environment. During the night, you'll play a vital role in ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and well supported, responding to individual needs while promoting dignity and independence.

What You'll Be Doing

No two nights are the same. Your role will include:

• Providing reassurance and support throughout the night


• Completing regular wellbeing and safety checks in line with individual support plans


• Supporting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner where required


• Responding calmly and appropriately to any overnight needs or emergencies


• Completing accurate records and handovers to ensure continuity of care


• Helping maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment


• Working closely with colleagues to provide high-quality, person-centred support
