Job summary

CareTech Community Services Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking dedicated care staff to support adults with various needs in community settings. You will participate in day-to-day activities aligned with individual support plans, while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of care.

Successful candidates will complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement, at the employer's expense. The role offers opportunities for training, progression, and a range of staff benefits

Qualifications

• Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities.
• Maintain effective communication with service users, families and others while respecting confidentiality.
• Support service users with preparation of meals, laundry, cleaning and social events.
• Maintain accurate notes and records as required.
• Work as part of a team to provide high quality care.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
• To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
• To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
• To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
• To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.

Personal Characteristics:

• Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
• Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
• The ability to keep calm under pressure.
• The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
• The passion to work with vulnerable adults
• The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
