Job summary

Thera South West is looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our inclusive team in the Torbay area. The role offers a permanent contract with full-time, part-time or relief hours and a monthly salary through an hourly rate of £13.30.

Training is provided, and a driver is essential to enable community access. You will support adults with learning disabilities and possibly physical disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals with person-centred care.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Self-motivated with a positive, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with medication.
• Assist with moving and handling.

Supporting peoplein their daily lives is varied and, in this role,will include personal care, support with medication, moving and handling, helping to develop and promote new and existing skills, helping and supporting with leisure, individual interests and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding role but also at times challenging and demanding.
