Job summary

Lifeways Group in Skelmersdale is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help residents with daily living and independence. The role offers full-time shifts across 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, including days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, in a welcoming supported living bungalow.

You will support residents with appointments, activities and outings while maintaining personalised care plans and accurate records. A rewarding role within a caring team.

Support Worker – Skelmersdale

About the Service

Our supported living service is a modern bungalow located in a welcoming residential area. The facility includes:

• Three bedrooms, including one with a walk‑in wet room for wheelchair users
• A shared bathroom with bath and shower
• Spacious living and dining areas
• A garden for relaxation and activities

Residents enjoy shopping, walks, eating out and social events. Local amenities include shops, pubs, takeaways, leisure centres, a shopping centre, restaurants, a cinema and nearby outdoor attractions such as Beacon Country Park and Delph Waterfall Nature Trail. Transport links are excellent, with a bus stop close to the house and a train station just 1.5 miles away.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver person‑centred support in daily living activities
• Encourage independence and promote wellbeing
• Assist individuals with appointments, hobbies and community outings
• Maintain accurate records and follow personalised care plans

Shift Patterns

Full‑time role: 37.5 hours per week.

Shifts are flexible and scheduled between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, including days, evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
