Job summary

Voyage-Care in Sheffield is seeking compassionate Support Workers to help people gain independence in daily life within a dynamic team. Flexible shifts include evenings, weekends and varying hours to suit needs, with enhanced pay for overtime.

You’ll support with learning life skills, personal care and community activities, fostering confidence and participation. No prior experience required for the right attitude; training and DBS checks provided.

• Essential: genuine caring attitude with a hands-on approach.

Job description

Support Worker - Sheffield - £12.72 up to £14.22 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: Monday to Sunday - Various hours so must be flexible.

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Rotherham is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local community hot spots, the next you could be unwinding with them playing games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with additional needs.
