A local support service in Scotland seeks a Female Support Worker to assist an independent woman with daily living tasks. The role involves personal care, housework, and companionship, providing support on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for 10 hours weekly at £12.60 per hour. A driving licence and own vehicle are required.
I am an independent young woman with Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disabilities, and I’m looking for a Female Support Worker to support me with my daily living.
I love spending time with my family, especially my nephew. I enjoy watching TV shows and films at home.
You’ll support me with personal care tasks, being there when I take a bath, assisting with foot care/helping with socks and shoes.
As my personal assistant, you’ll assist with housework, shopping and cooking a meal for me or accompanying me when I go out to eat and help me to live life to the fullest.
Every day is unique, but activities might include a trip to the shops or simply spending quality time at home with me.
If you’re someone who is easy to talk to/get along with and would encourage and support me to participate in activities, you might be the perfect fit for this role as I am naturally an anxious and nervous person.
I live in Hamilton, so it’s important you’re comfortable working in this area.
This role involves 10 hours per week, over three days: Wednesday (7pm-9pm), Thursday (9:30am-12:30pm), and Friday (9:30am-2:30pm) with some flexibility, at an hourly rate of £12.60.
While experience is desirable, someone who can use their initiative is most important.
A driving licence is required with access to your own vehicle to help with transport (mileage allowance will be paid).
If you are successfully hired, you will be employed directly by a Private Employer on a PAYE basis and will be entitled to all statutory rights as set out by Employment Law, such as paid holidays and statutory sick pay (where eligible).
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please note that this job is advertised by GCIL (South Lanarkshire) on behalf of a Personal Employer.
