Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in the Cambridge Caldecote area. The role involves helping people gain independence in daily living within a supportive, busy team. Shifts typically run 7am-2pm and 2pm-9pm, with overtime and weekend enhancements.

You will assist with personal care, encourage community involvement, and help individuals pursue goals such as cooking and social activities, including outings to pools and arts events.

Qualifications

• We are looking for genuinely caring, hands-on individuals who are resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, with experience in Positive Behaviour Support and reflective practice, and with experience working with autism, physical disabilities and complex care needs.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily living within a dynamic team.
• Assist with personal care and encourage access to local communities and social activities.
• Take people on community outings such as swimming or arts and crafts.
• Support individuals to achieve goals, e.g. cooking dinner or going on holiday.
