Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Female Support Worker in Kingswood Bristol to help people gain independence and participate in daily activities with a supportive team.

You will assist with personal care, encourage community access, and run engaging activities, while following Positive Behaviour Support plans and brain-injury care practices.

No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training, DBS checks, and opportunities for career progression in a sector leading organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support after brain injury.

Responsibilities

• Teach life skills and assist with personal care.
• Encourage access to local communities and social activities.

Female Support Worker

Location: Kingswood Bristol Typical Shifts are: Monday - Friday 7:45 - 16:45 Saturday 9am - 16:00

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the person we support in shopping and coffee shops, the next you could be unwinding with them playing games, watching films or going to local aquarium.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support after having a recent Brain injury..
