Pay:£ 14.50 p/h
Hours: Full-time andpart-time opportunities available (no bank roles)

Make a real difference to a young person's life

We are looking for compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic FemaleSupport Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a young person in her own home.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of a specialist support package, providing 5:1 support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will work as part of a consistent and supportive team, helping to ensure that the young person receives safe, person-centred care and has every opportunity to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

No two days will be the same. The role will involve supporting her at home and out in the community, building positive relationships and helping her to achieve her goals, develop independence and enjoy the things that are important to her.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing consistent, safe and compassionate support. You will work closely with the wider team and professionals involved in the young person's care to ensure her individual needs, preferences and aspirations remain at the centre of everything we do.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing safe, person-centred support within the young person's home and community.
  • Supporting with daily routines, activities and appointments.
  • Building a positive, trusting and professional relationship with the young person.
  • Supporting independence and encouraging the development of life skills.
  • Following individual support plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Responding calmly and safely to behaviours of concern, in line with training and agreed plans.
  • Working as part of a large and consistent team to provide 5:1 support.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate and professional records.
  • Working closely with family members and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young person at all times.
Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are kind, patient, resilient and reliable. Experience within care or supporting children and young people is desirable, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

You will ideally have:
  • Experience supporting children, young people or adults with complex needs.
  • A calm and confident approach during challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to follow guidance, plans and professional boundaries.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • A willingness to undertake specialist training relevant to the young person's needs.

Because this role involves supporting a young person under the age of 18, you must understand the importance of safeguarding, professional boundaries and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
