Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Female Support Worker at Ancaster Mews in Greylees, Sleaford. The role involves hands-on support for people with complex care needs, helping them live more independently and participate in community activities.

Shifts run 7.30am–2.30pm and 2.30pm–9.30pm. Drivers with vehicle access are required. A rewarding, supportive environment with ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism, complex care and physical disabilities.
• Comfortable supporting people with mobility needs, including wheelchair users.
• Confident following Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Flexible and able to work a range of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with everyday routines.
• Develop life skills and promote independence.
• Help service users access community and social activities.
• Support activities like shopping, swimming, gardening and arts/crafts.
• Assist individuals in making choices and working towards personal goals.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflect on practice.

At Ancaster Mews, you’ll support people with complex needs to live as independently as possible, helping them make choices, build confidence and get involved in the things they enjoy.

The Role

Role: Female Support Worker*
Service: Ancaster Mews
Location: Greylees, Sleaford
Hours: 7.30am–2.30pm and 2.30pm–9.30pm
Pay: £13.00ph up to £14.50ph with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements

Due to location, drivers with access to vehicle are required.

Your Role

This is a hands-on role where every day brings something different.

You’ll support people with complex care needs, including individuals who use wheelchairs, helping them with:

• Personal care and everyday routines
• Developing life skills and greater independence
• Accessing the community and enjoying social activities
• Shopping, swimming, gardening, arts and crafts and more
• Making choices and working towards personal goals
• Managing behaviours in a positive and person-centred way
• Following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice

You’ll need to be flexible and comfortable working shifts, as our services run around the people we support.
