Job summary

Voyage-Care's Barnford House in Oldbury is seeking a caring Support Worker to help residents gain independence and engage in daily activities within a warm, supportive team. You’ll assist with personal care, encourage community involvement, and participate in activities from outings to home-based routines, while upholding safety and dignity every day.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Candidate should be resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support and reflective practice is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

Support Worker – Barnford House - £12.72 up to £13.72 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Shifts between: Monday - Sunday 07:45 - 15:15 / 14:30 - 22:00

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Oldbury is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress and mental health conditions.
