Job summary

SeeAbility in Ferndown, Dorset is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help a resident live a fuller, more independent life in her own home. You will provide practical support, build trusted relationships and champion quality of life through everyday activities.

This is a hands-on role requiring empathy, reliability and the ability to work as part of a small team. A driving licence is beneficial but not essential; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English.
• Full UK manual driving licence (not essential).
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Practical, active approach to work with ability to support people throughout the day.
• Caring, positive and resilient mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily routines from morning to bedtime.
• Planning and enjoying person-centered activities - walks, swimming, shopping and trips out.
• Building trusted, respectful relationships that support confidence and wellbeing.
• Keeping clear and accurate records.
• Working closely with colleagues and professionals.

Salary: £25,525.50 per year (£13.09 per hour) plus benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Home

At Arnold Road, Dorset we support a lovely lady who hastransitioned from a long stay acute setting to her own home, supported bySeeability. She has moderate learning disabilities but manages her personalcare with minimal prompting. The days are filled with visits to the farm to feed the animals, attending local village events such as crafts and singing. Being a confident swimmer is essential as the lady attends weekly swimming.
