Job summary

Turning Point in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults achieve their goals and live independently. You will support with daily living skills, attend health appointments, and manage personal budgets.

No formal experience required, though exposure to learning disabilities or autism is helpful. We offer bespoke training and the chance to progress within a not-for-profit health and social care organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities or autism is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to support adults to live life to their full potential.

We realise though that not everyone wants to climb the ladder which is perfect too - many of our staff have remained happy in a support worker role for over 15 years., You will be encouraging the people we support to live life to their full potential. This will include a variety of community activities, promoting and developing their daily living skills, supporting with medication and health appointments, supporting to manage their personal budgets.

Whilst knowledge of learning disabilities and or autism may be beneficial, it isn't essential. We have great mentors with a wealth of experience.
