Job summary

Disability North in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, is seeking an experienced female personal assistant to support Judith at home and in the community. You will assist with personal care, household tasks, and accompany to medical appointments. You may be asked to prompt daily medications, help with shopping, light cleaning, and meal preparation.

Comfort with a mobility scooter and engaging with the family is essential. Shifts are 11 hours per week including weekends; a bank role covers holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as a personal assistant or carer is preferred.
• Must be physically fit to assist with mobility scooter.
• Willingness to engage with family and cat Nova.

Responsibilities

• Assist Judith with personal care and daily tasks.
• Support access to community and medical appointments.
• Prompt daily medications and light domestic duties.
• Assist with shopping, meal preparation and laundry.
• Accompany Judith to appointments and handle transportation.
