Disability North is seeking two female Personal Assistants to provide 2:1 support for a 13-year-old girl with autism in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne. The role centers on enabling Shannon to enjoy community activities, develop independence, and strengthen her social life while ensuring she remains safe and supported. Term-time hours: 4.5 hours per weekend; school holidays: 10 hours per week.

Rate: £15 per hour. A full UK driving licence with access to your own car is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence and access to own car.
• Enhanced DBS required prior to employment.
• Gender requirement: female due to occupational need under Equality Act.
