Disability North in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a kind and patient Personal Assistant to support Shannon, who has fetal alcohol syndrome, global developmental delay and learning disabilities. The role is 15 hours per week during school holidays, at £14 per hour, based in NE3.

You will help Shannon access social activities and enjoy time in the community. Shannon requires close supervision for safety and comfort, with activities adapted to her needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, developmental delays or learning disabilities would be beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Support Shannon to access social activities and enjoy spending time out in the community.
• Assist with activities outdoors and in parks, ensuring Shannon's safety and comfort.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with Shannon and provide reliable, patient care.
