Job summary

Disability North in Gosforth, Newcastle is seeking caring Personal Assistants to support two young people (ages 17 and 19) with autism and learning disabilities. You will work 1:1 or 2:1 with the two individuals, enabling activities, community engagement and daily routines in a warm, patient environment.

Shifts include part-time and full-time options across term time and holidays. DBS check is enhanced and UK work rights are required; driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS preferred and support available
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Full induction, training and support provided
• Driver with a clean licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support during shifts
• Assist with activities, community outings and daily routines
• Help two young people grow in confidence and life skills
• Maintain warm, patient communication and adapt strategies when needed
