Job summary

Disability North invites caring Personal Assistants to join our Gosforth team in Newcastle. You will support two autistic young people, aged 17 and 19, with learning disabilities, helping them stay active, connected, and independent.

Roles include 1:1 or 2:1 shifts, part-time or full-time, with induction and ongoing support. A DBS check is required, right to work in the UK, and a clean driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Full induction, training and support provided.
• Driver with a clean driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support for two autistic young people.
• Support daily activities, community involvement and independence.
• Communicate with warmth and patience, using alternative strategies when needed.
