Job summary

Choices and Rights Disability Coalition is seeking two Personal Assistants to support an 8-year-old girl on a 2:1 basis in the HU5 area. The role involves helping with personal care, daily activities, and safe access to activities like soft play and swimming. A driver is preferred due to mobility needs, and DBS checks will be completed.

Hours are 8 per week at £12.71 per hour. You will work closely with the family to understand the child’s needs and wishes, providing reliable and patient support

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of Autism and sensory needs.
• Ability to support non-verbal children and provide personal care.
• Reliable, patient and caring approach with the child.

Responsibilities

• Support the child with personal care and daily activities.
• Assist access to activities such as soft play, water play and sessions at Big Fun.
• Provide safe, supportive companionship and help communicate needs; driving may be needed if licensed.
