Dane House in Brighton, part of Elysium Healthcare, is hiring a Support Worker to assist people with mental health conditions. You’ll join an inclusive team, delivering compassionate care, recording observations, and supporting residents on their recovery pathways.

The role is a permanent, 30-hour week night position (9:30 pm–7:30 am) with a comprehensive range of training and development opportunities. You’ll be part of a network-focused provider with strong values.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions , using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

This is a permanent 30 weekly hours position, on the night shifts, working between the hours of 9.30 pm and 7.30 am

Where you will be working:

Dane House provides a specialist residential servicefor all gender identities who have a learningdisability, or who are autistic, and have behaviourswhich, due to their diagnosis may be of concern/distress. Residents may also have profound andmultiple communication difficulties, sensoryimpairments and physical health problems.

The service is staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team ofSupport Workers, led by an experienced Registered Manager.

Dane House is situated in Brighton and provides six ensuite bedrooms, there are also lounges, a dining room andkitchen alongside a large garden.There is an excellent range of community facilities andamenities close by. The service is situated a short walk fromthe sea. Brighton has direct train access to London and theM23, M25 and A23 motorway.
