Job summary

Invictus Complex Care Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to support a client in Eastbourne with complex neurological and physical health needs.

You will provide overnight monitoring, assist with repositioning and moving, and maintain the client’s safety and comfort throughout the night. The role requires experience in complex care and a caring, professional approach, with excellent observation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience, ideally within complex care.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight monitoring and support.

• Respond to changes in condition with appropriate actions.
• Support morning routines when required.

Invictus Complex Care is looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our specialist complex care team in Eastbourne.

This rewarding opportunity is ideal for an experienced Night Care Assistant who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and supporting individuals with complex health needs to live safely and comfortably in their own home.

As a Night Care Assistant, you will provide overnight support to an individual with complex neurological and physical health needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night.

We are recruiting for 3 wake nights per week: 2045-0900. These will be:Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday every week.

About the Client

You will be supporting an individual living with:

• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
• Dysphagia
• Speech impairment
• Complex physical care needs
• Reduced mobility requiring full wheelchair use

The client requires specialist support overnight, including airway management, moving and positioning, and monitoring of their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Night Care Assistant, your duties will include:

• Providing overnight monitoring and support
• Supporting with repositioning throughout the night
• Assisting with all moving and positioning requirements using a hoist
• Supporting with suctioning in line with training and care plans
• Monitoring the client's comfort, safety, and health status
• Maintaining accurate care documentation
• Responding appropriately to any changes in condition
• Promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care at all times
• Supporting with morning routines where required

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a Night Care Assistant who has:

• Previous care experience, ideally within complex care
• Experience supporting individuals with neurological conditions or acquired brain injuries
• A caring, patient, and professional approach
• Excellent communication and observation skills
• The ability to work independently and confidently during night shifts

Experience with the following is desirable:

• Suctioning
• Dysphagia support
• Hoist transfers and moving and handling
• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
• Complex care packages
• Wheelchair users

Full specialist training will be provided to the successful candidate where required.
