Job summary

Routes Healthcare (North) Limited is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to provide 1-to-1 care in a client's home. You will support an adult client living with a spinal injury requiring autonomic dysreflexia, stoma care, catheter care, and overnight NIV, helping them live safely and independently.

Role includes evening/night shifts, guaranteed hours after probation, specialist clinical training, and 24/7 clinical support. Applicants must have UK work rights and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK care experience.
• Driver with own car and full driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
• Reliable, compassionate and professional.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Desirable: Experience with spinal injuries; NIV or autonomic dysreflexia management.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care with dignity and respect.
• Support with medication administration and clinical observations.
• Provide support with stoma care and catheter care.
• Monitor and respond to autonomic dysreflexia (AD).
• Support the safe use of NIV equipment overnight.
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.

Pay Rate: £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay)

Guaranteed hours available after successful probation

Shift Pattern: 3 to 4 nights per week, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

About the Role
