Job summary

Priority Recruitment Services Ltd are seeking an experienced Female Support Worker for a complex care role in Garstang, supporting a young adult living with Cerebral Palsy at home.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, PEG feeding, medications, mobility and community activities, while driving the client’s adapted vehicle and ensuring a safe home environment. DBS clearance is required and flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Female due to personal care requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Experience working as a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant.
• Experience with PEG feeding – preferred.
• Experience in complex care and/or supporting individuals with physical disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident working independently.
• Be reliable, professional and able to maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Be a non-smoker, in line with client’s preference.
• Be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day living activities and personal care.
• Assist with PEG feeding and nutrition.
• Administer medications and monitor health.
• Support therapy and rehabilitation programmes.
• Drive the client’s adapted vehicle and accompany outings.
• Maintain a safe environment at home and in the community.
• Complete daily records, medication records and timesheets.
• Liaise with family and other professionals as required.
