Job summary

Westcountry Case Management Ltd. is seeking a female support worker to assist a young lady with cerebral palsy in her home in Tredegar. The role involves personal care, practical support, and promoting wellbeing within a care team.

You will help promote independence following guidance from the case manager and therapists, and in consultation with the client, with a positive and caring attitude towards the client’s goals.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent; previous care experience is essential.
• A fully enhanced DBS and DBS Update Service registration are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical support to ensure safety and wellbeing of the client.
• Facilitate client independence by following the plan from the case manager and therapists, in consultation with the client.
• Work within a team, promoting the client's individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals.
