A local support service seeks a Female Personal Assistant / Support Worker to provide care for a young female with a rare condition. Responsibilities include personal assistance, medication support, and companionship. The ideal candidate should have experience with vulnerable adults, strong communication skills, and flexibility in working hours. An enhanced DBS check is required. This position is available part-time or full-time, with an hourly pay of £12.50.

Responsible to: Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer and the employer’s representative (Mum & Dad)
Hours: Part Time & Full Time Positions available (10 hours – 32 hours per week)
Work Pattern: Variable shifts to be discussed at interview stage
Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour
Based at: Employer’s own home in Lakenheath / Brandon near Bury St Edmunds / West Suffolk and out in the local community.
To support, assist and be a friendly companion to a young female that has a rare and progressive condition called Hallervorden-Spatz disease also known as Neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA).
The lady has a great sense of humour and lives in a family home with Mum & Dad. The lady has her own space in the house. The purpose is to build a trusting professional relationship with the lady, as well as being a friend to her. To support her with her day to day living, support with personal care and social care tasks and to help develop her quality of life. The lady enjoys good company, TV, football, shopping, sports and enjoys spending time with her family. Candidate to have a full UK driving licence.
