Zusammenfassung

Spire Homecare in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Female Care Assistant to join our team. You will provide personal care and support to service users in their own homes, with flexible shifts including mornings, lunches and evenings, and you will hold a UK driving license to travel between client properties.

We offer funded training programmes (Level 2 & 3 in Social Care), paid mileage, ongoing supervision from the management team, and a supportive culture with opportunities for progression

Qualifikationen

• Available to work Morning/Lunch/Evening shifts.

About the role

Purpose of Position

• To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.

Requirements

• UK Driving License (and car for driving between service users' properties).

• Friendly, caring, and positive attitude.

• Applicant must be available from 07:00 on mornings to work.

• Work pattern will include Morning/Lunch/Evening shifts

Responsibilities

• Assisting service users with all personal care needs including, undressing, washing, bathing, and toileting needs. As well as supporting with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs)

• Assisting service users with mobility problems, mild learning difficulties and other physical disabilities, including promoting independent continence, and help in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.

• To ensure service users retain their dignity and individuality.

• To provide care for people who are dying or have progressive illnesses (end of life care).

• To engage in the promotion of mental and physical wellbeing.

• To read and write reports and take part in staff and service users' meetings and in training activities as directed.

• When professionally trained, administer medications.

• To comply with the organisation's policies and procedures at all times, which includes the service users' care plan, medication needs and the completion of accurate daily records (as per our policies and procedures).

• To report to the registered manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user.

• To encourage service users to remain as independent as possible.

• All staff are required to attend mandatory training where appropriate, including induction and National Vocational Qualifications or their equivalent.

• Identify and support appropriately service users with the capacity and those who lack capacity.

• Understand the requirement of the New Fundamental Standard Regulations 9-20, in relation to the Care Quality Commission Inspect regime.

• To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
