Job summary

E.ON Next Energy Ltd is seeking an FCA Compliance professional to ensure our business and appointed representatives operate under regulatory requirements. You will strengthen governance, advise senior stakeholders and track changes to stay ahead of FCA regimes.

You will support regulatory reporting, horizon scanning and policy updates, collaborating with ARs and lenders to deliver compliant financial propositions. This is a permanent, Nottingham-based role with travel as needed.

• Familiarity with FCA regime and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support the FCA Compliance Manager to ensure ARs comply with FCA regulation.
• Act as a specialist advisor, producing data reports for senior management and board.
• Develop governance processes to assess FCA risk management effectiveness.
• Collaborate with ARs and partners to implement new FCA strategy and ensure compliance.
• Support regulatory reporting and notifications to the FCA within required timescales.
• Conduct horizon scanning of regulatory changes and rollout training.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive FCA Compliance professional to help ensure our business and appointed representatives operate in line with regulatory requirements. You’ll play a key role in strengthening governance, advising senior stakeholders and keeping us ahead of regulatory changes, helping us deliver compliant and responsible financial propositions.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing

• Support the FCA Compliance Manager as required in order to ensure that E.ON and its ARs comply with FCA regulation.
• Acting as a specialist advisor to the business; collating data and producing reports of findings and recommendations to be provided to senior management and the board.
• Develop and oversee governance processes to assess the effectiveness in managing FCA risks, providing assurance that this activity is functioning effectively.
• Work with ARs, external and internal business partners to implement new strategy and ensure compliance with FCA regime.
• Support with inputs for the submission of all regulatory reporting and notifications to the FCA in accordance with their specified timescales.
• Conduct regular horizon scanning of the regulatory landscape to identify and report on regulatory changes, including training roll out as required.
• Regular review and update of EEISL specific policies.
• Assisting with financial promotions reviews and feedback to GTM teams.
• Support business readiness for new FCA applications.

Are we the perfect match?

You have experience working in an FCA regulated environment undertaking credit broking and financial promotions activity and are familiar with the FCA regime and consumer credit legislation. You have experience overseeing ARs, IARs and working with partner lenders. You have an impactful and influential approach, fostering trust and credibility. You are a clear and concise communicator, skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and simplifying complex regulation. You take a proactive and collaborative approach, demonstrating the ability to work well across business areas. It would be great if you had:

• Experience of working in the energy sector.
• Experience of working with other regulatory bodies including Ofgem, DESNZ and ASA and an understanding of the regulatory frameworks.
