Leeds Beckett University invites applications for a multi-skilled garment technology technician to support the Fashion Design programme. You will be based in the Broadcasting Place building, contributing to high-level technical support for undergraduate and postgraduate fashion students within a busy, creative environment.

The role requires experience with industry standard garment manufacturing machinery and a professional approach to studio safety, maintenance, and stock management.

Qualifications

  • Experience with industry standard garment manufacturing machinery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Outlook.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support pattern cutting and garment manufacturing across learning environments.
  • Maintain studios and specialist equipment, and manage stock orders/sales.
  • Provide first-line maintenance and assist other technical staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with learning support colleagues to deliver integrated services.
