Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd is partnering with a family-run poultry and egg packing business in West Berkshire to recruit an experienced Farm Manager. The role is hands-on, overseeing a multi-age free range laying flock and supporting egg grading, packing and the wider operation.

You will work closely with the owners and team to drive day-to-day decisions and maintain high health, welfare and performance standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the free range laying flock with focus on bird health and welfare.
• Monitor flock health, production, feed usage and environmental conditions with accurate records.
• Support egg grading, packing and dispatch including local deliveries.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs to machinery and buildings.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental compliance and relevant assurance schemes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with owners and team, taking day-to-day decisions.
