Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Family Time Worker to join Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on a 3-month temporary contract. The role is full-time at 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.

Key duties include promoting Family Time, supervision and reporting, providing support to children and families, and transporting participants as required. DBS must be enhanced and a full UK driving licence with a car is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in a relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver Family Time as per the care plan while prioritising child safety.
• Supervise Family Time, compile observations and assessments.
• Provide emotional and practical support to children and families during Family Time.
• Transport clients to Family Time venues with proper restraints and risk checks.
• Collaborate with social workers and professionals to plan and review Family Time.
• Contribute to written plans under supervision.

Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Time Worker to join Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (inc some Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Family Time is promoted and delivered in line with the care plan for the child/young person and their family and in a manner that ensure the child's ongoing safety and that their welfare is paramount.
• Responsible for undertaking the supervision of Family Time including compiling of observations, undertaking assessments and reports around Family Time in line with the Family Time plan.
• Responsible for emotional and practical support to children, parents, and their families during Family Time
• Transport children, or on occasion adults, to and from Family Time venues when necessary, ensuring appropriate seat belts are used and that risk assessments have been completed.
• Work closely with the child/children's Social Worker and other relevant professionals to ensure effective communication of information and enable children/parents to be as fully involved as possible in the planning and review of Family Time arrangements.
• Contribute to the development of written plans under the direction of a qualified social worker or manager.
