Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking a Family Time Worker to support and supervise family time sessions in Redcar on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in our clients' location.

The role focuses on safeguarding and child welfare, observing interactions, recording details and providing feedback to safeguarding and care planning teams as required. Transporting children may be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care or related field.
• Experience working with children and families in a relevant setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervising family time sessions between children and family members.
• Promoting positive interactions while ensuring the child's welfare remains a priority.
• Recording observations and preparing written reports following contact sessions.
• Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns.
• Providing feedback to social workers and other relevant professionals.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care or a related field
• Previous experience working with children and families in a relevant setting
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Full UK driving licence and access to own business insured vehicle
