Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Family Therapist for the Children and Young People’s Gender Service in the Warrington area. The role focuses on leading family therapy clinics, providing specialist assessments and interventions for children, young people and families, with protected time for family therapy and liaison across partner agencies.

The post requires expertise in family and systemic psychotherapy, extensive post-qualification experience, and active engagement

Qualifications

• Qualified in core profession per BABCP criteria.
• Current registration with appropriate regulatory body.
• Professional qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (or equivalent).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Significant post-qualification experience in senior mental health services.
• Certificate in supervision skills or equivalent experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the family therapy clinic and provide specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and families.
• Have protected time specifically for family therapy.
• Liaise with partnership agencies to ensure coordinated care plans.
• Provide supervision to clinical practitioners as required.
• Deliver high quality, evidence-based clinical care in a multidisciplinary team.
