Recruitment Opportunities in Luton is seeking a Family Support Worker to join the Alternative Provision Multi-Disciplinary Specialist Team at Town Hall. You will support children, young people and families through assessments, providing coordinated services across schools, social care, youth partnerships and health services.

The role is 37 hours per week, internal secondment or fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with a salary of £34,237 to £37,563 pro rata.

Qualifications

• Experience of carrying out assessments with families and producing clear plans and reports around children’s needs and safeguarding.
• Knowledge of children’s development, SEND, SEMH and trauma-informed approaches is important.
• Flexibility to travel to families’ homes or education settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and supportive service to families based on assessments and needs.
• Be part of the Alternative Provision Multi-Disciplinary Specialist Team (APMDST) and collaborate with professionals across services.
• Work closely with schools, Children’s Social Care, Youth Partnership Service and Health Services.
• Coordinate joined-up support to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
