What we are looking for....
We are recruiting a Family Support Worker for 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2026. The role involves working directly with families to nurture relationships, build on strengths and interests, and help develop skills and confidence. You will join a multi-disciplinary team supporting families for up to 12 months to enable positive change and improve outcomes. The role requires working flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to help children, young people, and families feel safe, confident, and included.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with vulnerable families, assessing strengths and needs, and planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions. Experience with child and adult protection issues is essential; experience in childcare settings like Residential Care is a plus.
You should share our vision of collaborative, relationship-based early intervention. A relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, along with experience working with children or young people and their families, is preferred. We value a caring, collaborative approach that recognizes strengths and responds empathetically, including availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
The role requires working across various locations in Glasgow, including family homes, schools, and community settings.
At Aberlour, we aim to ensure every child and young person has the love, support, and opportunities to reach their potential. If you share this vision, we invite you to join our team. Please visit our website to learn more about our values.
