Salary: £33,558 - £38,811 per year

Hours: 35 hours per week

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting Children & Family Support Workers to join our locality-based team in Airdrie. The roles involve supporting children, young people, and their families in line with the Children Services Plan for North Lanarkshire and The Promise (The Independent Care Review). As a member of our Children & Families team, and in partnership with other agencies, you will develop positive professional relationships with children, young people, and their families, focusing on effective engagement and communication. You will undertake assessments, develop plans, and work with other agencies to identify, assess, and manage risks.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement intervention programs on an individual, group, and family basis.
  2. Prepare reports on assessments, plans, and interventions within specified timescales.
  3. Engage positively with children, young people, and families, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  4. Work collaboratively with other agencies to support vulnerable children and young people.
Qualifications & Experience
  • SVQ level 3 or HNC in Social Care or equivalent is essential.
  • Must work towards SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or HNC in Social Care if not already possessed, within a defined timeframe.
  • Extended experience working with vulnerable young people and their families/carers is essential.
  • Experience of individual/family or group work and knowledge of the Social Work role is desirable.
  • Must become a full PVG scheme member prior to starting.
