The Yard is an award-winning charity based in Dundee that provides adventure play services for children with disabilities and their families. We are seeking a Family Worker to support families with information, emotional and practical help to access external services and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and additional support needs.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with families and carers.
• Knowledge of children’s rights, trauma-informed and inclusive practices.
• Understanding of child and adult protection practices.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, emotional and practical support to families with children who have disabilities or additional support needs.
• Empower families to access and navigate external services and supports.
