Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in London is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker for a full-time role starting in September at a Camberwell SEN secondary school. You will support pupils and families, working closely with school staff to ensure safeguarding and coordinated help from external agencies.

The ideal candidate has experience with children, young people or families, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and collaborative work with parents and carers.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical and emotional support to pupils and families.
  • Work closely with school staff to identify and overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist with safeguarding and child protection processes as required.
  • Engage with external agencies to coordinate support for pupils and families.

Full-time | September start | SE5, Camberwell An SEN secondary school in Camberwell (SE5) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Support Worker to join their team on a full-time basis from September. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, families and school staff to provide practical and emotional support, helping families overcome barriers and ensuring pupils receive the support they need to thrive.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience supporting children, young people and/or families
  • Experience working with vulnerable pupils or within an SEN setting is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach
