Job summary

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is recruiting a Support Worker for Families First to identify needs, deliver targeted interventions and engage vulnerable families within Blaenau Gwent. You will coordinate bespoke early intervention packages to help families become confident, nurturing, resilient and safe.

The post requires a Level 3+ Social Care qualification and Level 1–2 safeguarding, with proven experience of working with children in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 or above professional qualification in Social Care.
• Level 1 & 2 safeguarding qualifications are required.
• Experience working with children in a community setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess need, deliver interventions and engage vulnerable families.
• Coordinate and deliver early intervention packages to help families become confident, nurturing and safe.
• Deliver parenting support, undertake family assessments and chair meetings to develop Family Support Plans.
