Job summary

Goodwin Development Trust is seeking an Early Help Family Support Worker to engage with families and work within a multi-professional team delivering Family hubs services across a locality.

The role involves promoting welfare of children and delivering learning and play activities, as well as conducting early help assessments and collaborating with partner agencies to build resilience and access to services.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and families.
• Ability to assess needs and provide emotional and practical support.
• Commitment to developing knowledge through training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and families.
• Develop and deliver high-quality learning and play groups, activities and events across geographical areas.
• Undertake early help whole family assessments and provide targeted family support.
• Proactively engage and build effective working relationships with a range of agencies as part of an integrated approach to supporting families.
