• Support children, young people and families with practical and domestic tasks and health promotion activities.
• Assist parents/carers to meet the needs of their child/young person through engagement in universal activity such as parent and child groups, youth groups, etc, working closely with local community networks, voluntary and self help groups.
• Alert managers to changes in family circumstances or needs and respond in emergency situations liaising with colleagues, other agencies, and carers as appropriate.
