Job summary

Henderson Scott is recruiting a Family Solicitor for Winchester to handle a varied private family caseload. The role focuses on divorce, financial remedy, trusts, pensions, and overseas assets, with hybrid working and a supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years PQE, strong client care, and be capable of managing their own caseload with autonomy while contributing to business development and junior-senior mentoring.

Qualifications

• Qualified Family Solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE.
• Strong technical experience across private family law.
• Experience handling complex financial matters and/or private children work.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Able to manage own caseload with autonomy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
• Willing to support and develop junior team members.
• Proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of private family matters including divorce and financial remedy.
• Manage trusts, business assets, pensions and overseas assets where applicable.
• Advise on cohabitation disputes and nuptial agreements.
• Represent private children matters with confidentiality and care.

The Role

You will handle a varied caseload of private family matters, including:

• Divorce and separation
• High-value and complex financial remedy matters
• Matters involving trusts, business assets, pensions and overseas assets
• Cohabitation disputes
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Private children matters

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Family Solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE
• Have strong technical experience across private family law
• Have experience handling complex financial matters and/or private children work
• Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills
• Be confident managing your own caseload and working with a high degree of autonomy
• Have strong organisational and time-management skills
• Be commercially minded with an interest in business development
• Be willing to support and develop more junior members of the team
• Take a proactive and collaborative approach to their work
