Job summary

The Eventus Recruitment Group is working with a respected Derby law firm to recruit a Family Solicitor. You will manage a varied caseload in private family matters, including divorce, financial remedy and private children matters, with support from a paralegal and secretarial team.

This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working up to two days remote per week, a competitive salary up to £50,000 dependent on experience, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and strong career progression

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
• At least two years' post-qualified experience in private family law.
• Experience handling divorce, financial remedy and private children matters.
• Ability to advise on complex or high-net-worth matters, or ambition to develop further in this area.
• Confidence conducting own advocacy and attending Court.
• Strong client care, communication and organisational skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of divorce, separation, financial remedy and private children matters
• Advising on complex and high-net-worth family law matters and providing clear, practical guidance throughout
• Conducting your own advocacy and attending the Family Court regularly
• Taking responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a sensitive, responsive and professional service
• Working collaboratively with the wider family team and making effective use of the dedicated paralegal and secretarial support available
