Job summary

Forward Trust is seeking a Family and Relationships Practitioner to support individuals in prison and the local community, helping them understand how healthy relationships contribute to recovery and wellbeing.

You will deliver one-to-one and group interventions, support families and affected others, and, where appropriate, work with children to promote whole-family recovery and rehabilitation. Collaborative, holistic support will be provided with partners to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and compassionate approach to supporting people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of addiction, offending, mental health and family dynamics
• Ability to engage individuals and families in interventions
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist one-to-one and group interventions with clients
• Provide direct support to family members and affected others
• Work with children and young people where appropriate to promote family recovery
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to coordinate holistic support
• Manage a varied workload across prison and community settings
