Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a proactive Family Link Worker to join the Children’s Services team in Liverpool. The role focuses on delivering Early Learning sessions, supporting families and promoting children’s development within a collaborative network of schools, nurseries and community settings.

You will work with families to extend support to home environments, recording progress and contributing to intervention plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with families and delivering early learning sessions is desirable.
• Ability to build trust and engage with Parents/Carers.
• Strong recording and evaluation skills to support self-evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Early Learning sessions for families with children under five.
• Extend support to the family home to strengthen skills and provide a positive learning environment.
• Engage with local schools, nurseries and community settings to promote children's learning and development.
• Provide direct support to children and families facing a range of difficulties and collaborate with partner agencies on intervention plans.
• Build trusting relationships with Parents/Carers to secure cooperation and best outcomes for children.
• Deliver parenting courses such as You and Me Mum, Nurture Programme, Baby Massage & Welcome to Play.
• Complete evaluation reports and case studies to inform service delivery.
