Brookthorpe Hall School in Gloucester is seeking a compassionate Family Liaison Officer to strengthen links between school, families and external professionals. This permanent, term-time role is 40 hours per week, with start in November 2026.

You will support attendance, wellbeing and inclusion, coordinating multi-agency services to help students succeed both at school and home. You will work with pastoral and senior teams to identify barriers, develop tailored support plans, and act as a Deputy

Qualifications

• Experience supporting families within education or pastoral settings.
• Ability to build trust with students and families and coordinate services.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare requirements.

Responsabilités

• Build positive relationships with students and families; be the first point of contact for advice.
• Identify challenges in families and connect them with appropriate services.
• Liaise with external agencies; coordinate referrals and attend multi-agency meetings.
• Support attendance and wellbeing; liaise with Pastoral Team.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead; maintain training and records.
• Support wellbeing, confidence, and behaviour; work with teachers.
• Coordinate transport needs and contribute to inclusion plans.
• Promote communication between home and school; involve families.
