Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Family Liaison Officer to support children with complex needs in Ormskirk. You will work with parents, carers and local authorities to develop strategies, coordinate visits and ensure plans are understood and implemented.

Bring your SEN experience to build trusted relationships, direct families to local resources, and participate in admission interviews with the Head Teacher. Join a dedicated team and help drive life-changing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN and working with families in challenging circumstances.
• Strong contacts within the local authority, including education, social services and healthcare professionals.
• Experience of multi-agency work with safeguarding and child protection.
• Genuine passion for enhancing life opportunities for young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate visits to see parents and talk at length to develop strategies.
• Work with families to identify and access local resources and support.
• Assist with admission interviews in partnership with the Head Teacher and ensure full inductions.
• Collaborate with carers, schools and local authorities to implement plans.
